FOREST - original linocut with gold leaf - perfect wall art - Last one available 9/9.

$350.00

In this part of the world, the forest light is a beautiful sight to behold. I particularly enjoy the beams of afternoon light as they filter through the trees. The inspiration for my latest artwork came during my holiday in Japan, where I was fascinated by the antique palace screens.

This is a limited edition reduction linocut print that has been embellished with gold leaf to bring out the glitter of the forest. Each colour is hand-printed and cut from the same plate. The colour is then rolled and transferred by gently rubbing the back of the paper with a printmaking tool. The areas of the design that I want to preserve are cut away, and the process is repeated until the final colour is printed. Once a colour is printed, there's no going back!

The image is 11.5cm x 38cm and presented in a tan colour frame measuring 52cm x 26cm.

This artwork is hand-made and unique.
